Full Moon in Capricorn

Updated: Jul 15

Grounded Steps Forward in a Time of Great Change

A hand holds a magnifying glass focusing on a distant road with cars, against a sunset sky. The scene is blurred except in the magnifying glass.

The Full Moon in Capricorn on 10/11 July 2025 asks us to pause, reflect and look at the long game. Capricorn is the sign of responsibility, maturity and mastery. It’s the steady climb, the mountain path, the part of us that knows success comes not from quick fixes but from committed action over time.

This lunation invites us to take stock of where we’re going and whether the goals we’re working toward are truly aligned with our values. Are they still ours? Or were they inherited—borrowed from family, society or a younger version of ourselves?

Capricorn full moons often bring a reality check, but this one comes with extra cosmic support. There’s a potent configuration happening in the background, offering both stability and innovation, vision and structure—if we’re willing to meet the moment.

A Portal of Potential: Uranus, Pluto, Saturn + Neptune

At the same time as this Full Moon, we’re working with a rare and powerful aspect: Uranus in Gemini trine Pluto in Aquarius, with both planets forming a sextile to Saturn and Neptune, who are currently conjunct in Aries.

Let’s break that down.

  • Uranus in Gemini is shaking up the way we think, learn, communicate and connect. It’s a restless energy that wants to break free from outdated thinking, sparking curiosity, innovation and fresh ideas.

  • Pluto in Aquarius is doing deep work on the collective level—transforming systems, power dynamics and the very way we interact as a society. This energy doesn’t skim the surface. It goes straight to the root.

  • Together, these two outer planets forming a trine create a dynamic flow between innovation and transformation. It’s a visionary aspect, helping us see what’s possible beyond what’s been done before.

  • Add in the sextile to Saturn and Neptune in Aries, and we get a grounded invitation to act on these visions. Saturn gives us structure, boundaries and responsibility. Neptune brings inspiration, idealism and spiritual connection. In Aries, this duo speaks to courage, pioneering energy and the spark to begin again.

This blend is rare. And it’s powerful. It helps us anchor our dreams into reality—but only if we’re willing to do the work.

What the Full Moon in Capricorn Illuminates

Full moons are moments of culmination. Things come to light. We see the truth of a situation more clearly.

In Capricorn, this lunation may highlight:

  • Where you’ve taken on too much or are carrying responsibility that’s no longer yours

  • What goals still feel aligned—and which ones need adjusting

  • Where you’re being invited to step into your own authority and trust your inner wisdom

This is not about hustling harder. It’s about clarifying your path so your energy goes where it matters most.

The support from Uranus, Pluto, Saturn and Neptune suggests this isn’t just a regular check-in—it’s a chance for big change. The kind of change that’s aligned with your long-term vision. The kind that builds foundations for the future.

Practical Magic

With the Moon in earthy Capricorn and the Sun in intuitive Cancer, this is also a beautiful time to check in with the balance between outer achievement and inner nourishment. Between structure and flow. Between doing and being.

Let yourself be guided by both your vision and your body. What feels true? What feels sustainable? What needs to shift?

Rituals to support this energy:

  • Journaling on your current goals and whether they still feel aligned

  • Creating a plan for a longer-term dream (and breaking it into doable steps)

  • Grounding practices like yin yoga, EFT, or spending time in nature

  • A simple full moon release ritual—burning a list of habits or responsibilities you’re ready to let go of

Big Picture, Small Steps

This Full Moon reminds us that real change takes time. And that’s okay. What matters is that we’re moving in the direction of what feels true. We don’t need to have it all figured out. But we do need to start.

And with the cosmic support on offer, there’s no better time to honour what’s calling and commit to the path forward—one grounded step at a time.
